HR Roundtable Series for Aged Care Service Providers Two-Part Online Workshop 

Limited spots available. Join us for this exclusive, two-part online HR Roundtable series tailored for aged care service providers, that will equip your team with the tools, insights, and strategies to strengthen workforce planning and meet evolving compliance standards. These sessions are designed for HR professionals of aged care service providers who are new to the role or who are seeking to gain new insights.

By the end of the series, participants will: 

  • Deepen their understanding of workforce planning in the aged care context 

  • Strengthen strategic HR capabilities 

  • Learn key compliance requirements of the New Aged Care Act 2024 and Final Aged Care Standards. 

  • Gain key skills in unpacking your staffing needs, how to identify key gaps, and build strategies to address potential challenges or gaps 

 

What’s involved? 

This Roundtable comprises of two separate 1.5-hour interactive sessions scheduled one week apart. Participants must attend both sessions.  

 

Session 1: Workforce Planning Basics 

This foundational session dives into the essentials of workforce planning, aligned with Aged Care Quality Standard 2.8. You will learn to: 

  • Map the employee journey—from recruitment to induction—with a future-ready lens 

  • Forecast staffing needs and identify skills gaps as client complexity evolves 

  • Build flexibility into your workforce strategy to reduce turnover risks 

  • Leverage technology like rostering software and HR analytics for smarter planning 

  • Homework Activity: you will be given a reflective exercise to bring to Session 2. 

 

Session 2: Coaching & Discussion Session 

This interactive follow-up session is all about collaborative problem-solving. Participants will: 

  • Share their real-world workforce planning challenges 

  • Engage in group coaching and peer-led discussions 

  • Discover new approaches and refine their organisational workforce plan. 

The sessions will be led by expert facilitators Cynthia Payne and Sarah Marciano of Anchor Excellence.  

 

Dates: Tuesday 14th and Tuesday 21st October 11.00am - 12.30pm

Sarah has an extensive background in both Homecare services & Residential services. She brings a wealth of experience in clinical and corporate governance, quality and safety, and aged care reform. Sarah’s key capabilities center around strengthening organisational resilience and ensuring compliance within the aged care sector. She possesses extensive experience in governance, risk management, business continuity planning, and regulatory compliance. This allows her to provide comprehensive support to organisations navigating the complex landscape of aged care regulations.

A particular focus of Sarah’s expertise lies in supporting Homecare providers with the Support at Home reforms. She can guide organisations through the intricacies of these changes, ensuring they are well prepared and compliant with the new requirement.

Cynthia Payne, Managing Director & Founder, Anchor Excellence

Cynthia is a highly experienced executive leader and director with over 30 years in leadership and 25 years on NFP and FP boards. She founded Anchor Excellence in 2018, significantly impacting the Australian aged care market. Passionate about empowering leaders, Cynthia and her team provide expertise across the aged care ecosystem. She holds an MBA and various certifications, is a member of several professional institutes, and serves on multiple boards. A decorated professional, she has received several awards and is a recognised business excellence expert.
