Do you work in the community alongside victims who have cognitive impairment?

Join Justice Advocacy Service for a bitesize practical training session designed to provide lawyers with practical tools and strategies to effectively support and communicate with clients with cognitive impairment throughout legal meetings. 

Training will include: 

  • Outline Justice Advocacy Service and work to support victim survivors through court matters

  • Identifiers for cognitive impairment 

  • Barriers for victims with cognitive impairment to report crime

  • Communication strategies and using plain English

  • Supporting a victim through giving a police statement

  • Resources to support
