Working Better Together: Collaboration in Practice
Description
Working Better Together: Collaboration in Practice
Want to collaborate with others, but not sure where to start?
Collaboration can open up new ideas, skills, resources and opportunities, but knowing you want to work with others and knowing how to make that partnership work in practice are two different things.
This practical, hands-on Dundee Dots workshop will explore how to turn ideas for partnership into something clear, achievable and useful.
This workshop is exclusively for Dundee Changemakers Microgrant winners.
The session has been shaped with our microgrant winners in mind, many of whom are keen to collaborate with others but are unsure where to begin, who to approach or how to turn an idea into practical action.
Over two hours, we’ll explore:
Mapping your partnership idea using the Dundee Dots Collaboration Canvas
Finding the right people and organisations to work with
Starting conversations and making the most of different strengths
Turning shared ideas into practical action
Navigating different expectations, priorities and ways of working
Building partnerships that feel fair, useful and sustainable
This won’t be two hours of sitting and listening. You’ll work on ideas, take part in practical activities, learn from others in the room and have space to think through your next steps. You may even leave with a partnership!
You’ll also leave with the Dundee Dots Collaboration Canvas, a practical tool you can use again when developing future partnerships.
Whether you already have a collaboration in mind or simply want to feel more confident about working with others, this session will help you move from ideas and conversations towards action.
Come ready to share, explore and connect.
