This working group will focus on a Behavioural Based approach to Condition-based Maintenance (The NewsCorp Story).
Condition-based maintenance – a maintenance strategy that monitors the actual condition of an asset to decide what maintenance needs to be done.
Many organisations are on this journey and have learnt the benefits of this approach as opposed to time-based maintenance approach. Industrie 4.0 and predictive analytics are becoming common language in businesses but ultimately is it the people that make these systems work.

Mark is responsible for National Inventory, he also supports Maintenance and Production groups to improve work processes. With over 30 years’ maintenance and reliability experience in minerals processing, commercial and newspaper publishing, Mark has a broad base of experience which has enabled him to assist production and maintenance employees adapt to changing business demands and trends.
He is the holder of two trades, Offset Lithography and Fitting and Turning and completed a Graduate Certificate in Asset and Maintenance Management from Central Queensland University in 2016.
Successes at NewsCorp includes the implementation of a behavioural based Condition Based Maintenance program in the National Reliability Department as well as transforming Inventory into a proactive, cohesive national team through education, skills improvement, and CMMS application.
