This working group will focus on 'High Performance Teams with insights from Tim Baker - Winners at Work'
A high performing team is a group of people who share a common vision, goals, metrics and who collaborate, challenge and hold each other accountable to achieve outstanding results.
Harvard Business Review reported that wider scientific evidence, has indicated that individuals’ personalities play a significant role in determining team performance. In particular, personality affects:
- What role you have within the team
- How you interact with the rest of the team
- Whether your values (core beliefs) align with the team’s
Importantly, the above processes concern the psychological factors (rather than the technical skills) underlying both individual and team performance. These psychological factors are the main determinants of whether people work together well.

Dr Tim Baker is an international consultant, thought leader, and successful author. In 2013, Tim was voted one of the 50 Most Talented Global Training & Development Leaders by the World HRD Congress. In 2018, he was a Finalist in the Learning Professional of the Year for the Asia Pacific Institute of Learning Professionals Awards. Listed in the Top 10 Change Management Consulting Service Companies in APAC 2020 (HR Tech Outlook).
Tim is author of nine books, including his latest: “Winning Teams: The Eight Characteristics of High Performing Teams.”
In a nutshell, he has have conducted over 2,430 seminars, workshops, keynote addresses and coaching programs to over 45,000 people in 13 countries across 21 industry groups.

- What factors determine success or failure. Is it the technical, personal or emotional skills of the members?
- Does the task at hand dictate the team structure?
- How do you set up choose and monitor a team in the workplace?
- Do long term engagements vs short project duration account for who goes where?
- Should the team make up change as the project develops?

This event is ideal for Operations Managers, HR, Maintenance / Engineering Managers or anyone interested in improving the operational performance of a team.
As a member of IPA you can register up to 2 people, subject to availability, to attend this event. This event is for IPA members only, there will be no public access to this event.

Registrations close 2 days prior to event date.
Registrations are based on a "first come, first served" basis.
