Working on the Wards

This is a unique event for education staff who work on the wards in paediatric hospitals but this year has a focus on teaching literacy in our setting.

Being hosted by the British Library, there will be an opportunity to hear about their resources. along with using key texts to support recovery from the trauma of being admitted to hospital, and a chance to hear about what other people are doing to promote literacy in their settings.

As there is a literacy focus this year, settings may want to consider whether they want to send their literacy/English lead alongside their hospital teacher - it's up to you!
