Working Out Dads – a free online support program for fathers of children with developmental delay or disability.
Being a dad to a child with developmental delay or disability can be challenging and finding the right support isn’t always easy.
Working Out Dads is an established evidence-based program developed by Tweddle Child and Family Health. ACD has partnered with Tweddle to tailor the program specifically for fathers of children with developmental delay or disability aged 0 to 9 years.
This six-week program runs on Thursday evenings. It’s free and it offers dads a supportive space to connect, share experiences and build practical strategies.

Session 2: Thursday 7 August, 7:30 pm
Session 3: Thursday 14 August, 7:30 pm
Session 4: Thursday 21 August, 7:30 pm
Session 5: Thursday 28 August, 7:30 pm
Session 6: Thursday 4 September, 7:30 pm
What to expect:
A free six-week online program
Weekly 90-minute sessions, designed just for dads
Led by two male facilitators, one of whom is a father of a child with disability
A 60-minute group discussion where dads can share, listen, and learn
A 30-minute online group session with a certified personal trainer on building movement and activity into daily life
Dads reported:
Feeling more positive and less alone
Being better equipped to deal with daily struggles and stresses
An improvement in mental health, parenting and relationships
