Working Upstream to End Homelessness

In partnership with the Australian Alliance to End Homelessness (AAEH) and the Australian Health, Housing & Homelessness Network (A3HN), the Centre for Health in All Policies Research Translation (CHiAPRT) is convening the tenth In Conversation Round Table, titled Working Upstream to End Homelessness.

Housing is both a basic human right and a foundation for wellbeing, yet homelessness remains a serious public health issue in Australia. To create lasting, systemic change and drive practical outcomes it is important that all interested in ending homelessness begin to work upstream.

This roundtable discussion will bring together key stakeholders and experts in the health, housing, and homelessness fields to explore and discuss these issues, with a key focus on strengthening proactive prevention strategies to effectively tackle this public health issue.

The Centre for Health in All Policies Research Translation convenes In Conversation: Boundary, Spanners, Thinkers and Policy Actors Roundtables approximately three times a year. The sessions to date have been a mixture of invitation-only meetings and publicly shared webinars, providing a platform for researchers, policy actors and implementation experts to elevate discussion on emerging issues, present new and upcoming research, and facilitate conversation around impacts and possible solutions.
