Working with Children & Young People impacted by Coercive Control: What Practitioners Need to Know

This is the fifth webinar in the Effective Interventions & Coercive Control series of six new Coercive Control Webinars presented in partnership between CCWT and the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) This is part of the NSW Government's work to assist the sector on understanding and implementing practice that supports the new laws about coercive control.
This webinar will be held on Tuesday 4 November, from midday 12:00pm to 1:30pm.
It will explore:
Recognise and acknowledge the impact of Coercive Control on children and young people
The experience of Coercive Control to broader issues of violence experienced by women and children
Build familiarity with the NSW Coercive Control legislation
Strategies to use in supportive responses with children, young people and their families
The importance for practitioners to seek out, and actively listen to, the voices of children and young people
Guidance to practitioners about other services and programs that can be accessed.

The webinars in this series are for NGO staff and frontline service workers in the Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence (DFSV) sector. They may also be valuable to staff who work with children, young people, and their families who have experienced DFSV including coercive control.
We encourage teams to join the webinars as a group. Only one registration per device is required.
