Working with Communities
Event description
Join renown community development theorist and practitioner Dr. Peter Westoby to explore ways to tune into communities that you are working alongside.
Exploring local and international examples, this workshop will uncover what it looks like to listen deeply to people in communities.
We will consider what it takes to seed conditions for people to determine and act together on things that matter to them. We will discuss the contrast of community-led activity with programming for people.
This workshop will build on previous Adelaide sessions with Peter and strengthen your community development toolkit.
** Note, if you are new to Peter's work, this is also an excellent workshop to attend for a practical overview.
