Workplace Disability Inclusion Training

Has your organisation recently started working with or employing people with disability? Have you identified that your staff aren’t confident when trying to support accessibility?

CYDA’s Workplace Disability Inclusion Training is an introduction to disability delivered by a team with lived experience and professional experience working with, supporting and advocating for people with disability. This training is for anyone who wants to build their confidence and develop their understanding of disability to help them engaging with people with disability.

Through this training you will: 

• Understand the experiences of young people with disability

• Understand models of disability and the history of disability movements in Australia

• Understand language around disability

• Be confident asking questions and talking about disability

• Understand how to respectfully engage with people with disability

• Know where to find information to continue developing your understanding of disability

• Know how to take actions to support people with disability in your workplace

• Time: 2:30pm – 4:30pm AEDT  

• Location: Online via Zoom (Link sent before the event) 

• Cost: General Rate: $400 + GST. | NFP Staff/Student Rate: $240 + GST. | Young People with Disability Rate: $100 + GST

  • Note: Limited placements at discounted rates are available for this training, if you can reasonably afford paying at a higher tier, we would encourage this to ensure discounted placements are available for those who need it. 

Accessibility:

Public delivery of this training takes place online using automated captions, with materials and a range of resources sent out in advanced to give people time to prepare. This training is delivered in plain language with screen reader friendly documents available, and will provide examples of easy read materials, access guides and other accessibility.
