FDV Response: Workplace First Aid
FDV Response: Workplace First Aid is a unique opportunity to be part of an evidence-based initiative designed to support HR professionals and leaders in recognising, responding to, and managing family and domestic violence (FDV) in the workplace a s part of organisations positive duty. This program is designed by experts and tailored to meet the needs of HR professionals, Managers, contact officers and organisation leaders.
Program Format:
Part One: eLearning (30 mins)
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Recognise the four key gender drivers that perpetuate unhealthy behaviours and their respective challenges
Understand Australian legislation relating to family and domestic violence in the workplace
Identify the legal responsibilities of HR and leaders in supporting staff experiencing FDV
Analyse case studies to understand obligations and practical solutions
Part Two: Facilitated Workshop (Half-Day)
Led by DART’s expert facilitators, this interactive session equips HR teams, managers, and corporate leaders with tools to:
Build staff confidence in supporting victim-survivors of FDV
Identify and manage internal risks
Apply trauma-informed principles to workplace investigations
Respond to harmful behaviours while upholding psychological safety for all staff
