Course Overview

Ensuring workplace investigations are carried out fairly and appropriately is essential since poor investigations (and potentially unsound findings) could present significant legal risk and liability for you and your organisation.

We've seen numerous cases in the media recently where initial investigations have been carried out poorly, resulting in significant fall-out for the organisation and executives involved. Upskill now and join this specialised training to provide executives with a deeper understanding of workplace investigations.

With a mix of theory, case studies and exercises, you'll walk away with the confidence and knowledge of what to do if an investigation is required in your workplace.

This course will focus on:

  • Fundamental rules on workplace investigations
  • Understanding the process - when, how, who?
  • Short form vs full form investigations
  • Gathering and analysing evidence - best practice tips
  • Interview techniques
  • Drafting the report
  • Third parties - when you need them
  • Investigations gone wrong - case studies to learn from

If you are responsible for any aspect of workplace investigations - up skill now and be prepared!
