Workplace Ready Workshop – Macquarie Bank Community Day

Down Syndrome NSW is excited to invite teenagers and adults with Down syndrome to a special Workplace Ready Workshop experience hosted by Macquarie Bank.

This interactive day is a fantastic opportunity for participants to explore a professional workplace, build confidence, and develop practical skills for future employment.

Participants will take part in a range of activities, including an office tour, resume writing, mock interviews, workplace skills activities, and networking with Macquarie employees.

What to Expect:

• Welcome & Special Speech from Down Syndrome NSW Employment Connections Ambassador Ellen Mayer

• Resume writing

• Mock interviews

• Workplace skills activities

• Lunch and networking with Macquarie employees

• A Workplace Ready certificate

Participants will be supported throughout the day by Macquarie volunteers and the Down Syndrome NSW team.

• Public transport:
  The venue is conveniently located at Martin Place, with direct access to Martin Place Metro and train station. Follow signs for the Elizabeth Street exit, then follow directions to 1 Elizabeth Street / Macquarie.

• By car:
  The venue is located in Sydney CBD. Paid parking is available at nearby commercial car parks, however public transport is recommended due to the central CBD location.

• Arrival:
  Please aim to arrive by 9:30–9:45 am to allow enough time to enter the building, check in and make your way to the event space.
