5-WEEK SONGWRITING WORKSHOP SERIES WITH STELLA DONNELLY!
12:30-2:30PM WEEKLY WEDNESDAYS, 4TH JUNE TIL 2ND JULY
In-person or online via Zoom. Sol Green Community Centre, Cnr Montague St &, Coventry St, South Melbourne
Presented by Wild At Heart, for people with disabilities, neurodivergence, mental or chronic illness.
Facilitated by Stella Donnelly; nationally renowned singer-songwriter, who will provide a professional level of guidance and inspiration. Stella wields her inviting charm and razor-sharp wit into authentically raw songs, often responding to her experiences of being a woman.
WORKSHOP #1: WRITE A SONG FOR SOCIAL CHANGE
Throughout history, music has been a powerful protest tool for people to speak about social justice issues and resistance against oppression. Learn from famous protest songs & explore how to use lyrics and melody to write about an issue you care about or change you wish to see in the world (e.g. disability rights, climate change, homelessness etc.)
*STRICTLY LIMITED TO 20 PEOPLE PER SESSION*
