About us:

Luma's Body Esteem Program is WA's only community-based eating disorder service with a focus on peer support. Our programs are facilitated by people who have lived experience of an eating disorder and subsequent recovery, or who have supported someone through an eating disorder. They share their knowledge, and experience where appropriate, to enhance understanding. Our model of care is based on self-help, which means participants set their own goals, take personal responsibility for learning and make changes at their own pace. BEP also offers Art Therapy, Dietetic services, and medical monitoring with a Nurse Practitioner through our clinical arm.

Words from a past participant:

‘Thank you to the facilitators for the outstanding session. Very informative and so grateful our daughter shared with us to help her going forward with her eating disorder.’
