WORKSHOP: Introduction to Bird Watching - Floriade at Lanyon 2025
Event description
Join the Canberra Birds Group to learn about the ACT's diverse bird populations and develop your citizen science skills in identifying birds, their feathers, nests and eggs. Free for all to drop in, the group will have their specimen collection on display and will be available to answer your bird related questions. There will also be guided mini bird watching tours at the homestead at 11:00am and 12:00pm during which experienced bird watchers will share their tips and tricks on how to increase your chances of catching a glimpse of native birdlife. This is a free activity suitable for the whole family. If you are planning to join a bird watching tour please wear sturdy, closed in shoes and sun protection.
