Event description

The Lanyon Homestead features many examples of 19th century handicrafts, including knitted bedspreads that follow an authentic counterpane pattern recorded by Duntroon resident Marrianne Campbell in 1884. In this workshop you will be guided by Margaret from A Frayed Knot Canberra, in knitting your own square of this historic pattern. This workshop is recommended for adults with foundational knitting skills. View the pattern in place in the homestead prior to the workshop by booking a morning tour of the homestead (booked separately), once you have booked the workshop you will be sent a code to book your tour for free!
