Workshop: Neurodiversity, Autism and the joy of parenting differently wired children
Event description
Reframing Autism invites parents and carers of Autistic children to join Dr Melanie Heyworth for an online introductory workshop on Autism, neurodiversity and finding joy in parenting Autistic children. In this afternoon workshop, we will redefine Autism from an Autistic perspective, examine the ways in which neurodiversity can help you to reframe your thinking about Autism, and discuss how this new understanding can inform the way you parent your Autistic children with patience, empathy, respect and happiness for your child's and your own wellbeing.
If you are unable to attend this workshop at the scheduled time, please note that it will be recorded. A link (valid for 30 days after the event) will be sent to all participants after the workshop concludes, so that you may watch it at a time that is suitable for you.
Did you know? If your child has an NDIS plan that includes a budget line for parent education, and you are plan- or self-managed, you can claim your registration costs for Reframing Autism events from your child’s NDIS funding.
