Event description
Join local ceramic artist Daniel Leone for some family fun with clay. Be inspired by the public artwork in Civic Square, Urban Biome and make your own little environment in clay. Make a form using clay pinching, rolling and joining techniques and decorate your creation with the impressed marks from natural elements such as leaves, bark and seed pods.
Suitable for all ages 5 years old and above. All materials supplied.
10am - 12pm and 1pm – 3pm

Artist Biography
Daniel Leone is a Canberra based, multi-disciplinary artist. He creates surreal ceramics that are used as vessels to house a range of plants including bonsai, satiating his other passion, horticulture. With a personal collection of dozens of bonsai trees, Daniel possesses extensive knowledge of their creation and care. His dedication to bonsai is further evidenced by his role in designing and maintaining the Japanese garden at Koto Restaurant near Old Parliament House.
