Sustainability Workshop for Event Organisers
Event description
Sustainable events aren’t about being perfect — they’re about making better choices with the resources you have. Whether you’re hosting at a local community centre, sports club, or a large-scale venue, there are practical steps you can take to reduce environmental impact while still creating meaningful experiences for attendees.
In our Sustainable Event Workshop, you’ll discover how to:
• Work with your venue to make eco-friendly improvements
• Reduce energy and water use
• Reuse materials and minimise waste
• Select sustainable suppliers where possible
• Communicate your efforts to attendees and stakeholders
By putting sustainability at the heart of your planning — no matter the size or location of your event — you’ll show your community that you’re committed to making a positive difference.
Create events that bring people together — without costing the earth.
Participants will:
• Gain knowledge of sustainable event planning practices
• Be able to curate events with reduced environmental impact
• Build confidence in communicating sustainability to participants and attendees
