Workshops 2024 - Sunday 24 November (PM) - Theresa Darmody - Carve a Vase


Event description

In this 3-hour workshop you will learn how to hand carve a beautiful wooden vase for dried flowers. You can choose from a variety of timbers and shapes to create your own unique piece. Beginning with familiarising with timber grain and how best to work with the grain, you will learn how to use a carving knife and a drawknife as well as how to sand, burnish and oil your piece to achieve a great finished surface. 

No experience necessary.

All materials and tools will be provided for workshop use.

Closed in shoes to be worn.

Bring a picnic lunch to have in the garden or you can purchase food and drinks from Montville cafes and restaurants.

Bookings close midnight Saturday 23 November. The workshop may be cancelled or postponed if there are insufficient participants (or unforeseen circumstances).
· Cancellations made by the participant 1 day or more prior to the workshop date will receive a 90% refund. Can be self-initiated online by the participant.

· Cancellations made by the participant on the day of the workshop will not receive a refund. Contact the Host.
