World Bee Day 2025
Event description
Join us to celebrate World Bee Day 2025 at Cox’s Creek Reserve! This is Council’s first beekeeping workshop,
hosted by the Urban Beekeepers of the Inner West. It will give participants an up-close look at the fascinating
world of bees and their hives. Under the guidance of experienced beekeepers, you'll have the opportunity to inspect
beehives, observe bee behaviour, and learn about hive management techniques. This workshop will provide invaluable
experience and understanding of the intricacies of beekeeping, fostering a deeper connection with these incredible
pollinators. You'll also have the chance to taste the honey.
When: Sunday, May 18, 2025.
Where: Cox’s Creek Reserve, 7 Sylvanus Street, Greenacre (Parking at the end of Sylvanus Street).
Time: 12pm - 1.30pm.
Beekeeping suit will be provided.
There are no toilet facilities available on site.
Limited to 10 participants. You must be over the age of 18 to participate. Scan the QR code to register.
In case of rain, the workshop will be cancelled, but a brief shower or light drizzle won’t stop us. Hope to see you there!
