World Down Syndrome Day Breakfast, Improving Our Support Systems
Event description
Join us for the inaugural World Down Syndrome Day Breakfast on 21 March 2025, a special event to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day and foster meaningful connections.
This unique gathering brings together community members, business leaders, and government representatives for a morning of networking, a sit-down breakfast, and an engaging panel discussion. Centered on the theme "Improving Our Support Systems," the panel will feature key stakeholders from government, support services, and families, offering invaluable insights and perspectives.
This breakfast event features our keynote speaker Miss Olivia Hargroder and her mother Kerry Read who share with us Olivia's journey from low expectations to graduate of NIDA's Young Actor's Studio and leading roles across Australian stage, film and TV.
In addition to this, we will explore the World Down Syndrome Day theme further through our panel discussion, featuring Health Minister Tim Nicholls MP, CEO of Queenslanders with Disabilities Michelle Moss, and other key stakeholders offering invaluable insights and perspectives.
