We’re thrilled to announce that registrations are NOW OPEN for the 2026 World Engineering Day Hackathon!

The World Engineering Day Hackathon is a unique international competition that brings together bright minds from across the globe to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges — using the power of engineering, creativity, and collaboration to design real-world solutions that advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This year’s Hackathon focuses on SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure — building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialisation, and fostering innovation.

From smarter cities and cleaner energy systems to sustainable transport and equitable digital access, SDG 9 is all about driving progress that benefits both people and the planet.

Join us for a Hackathon like no other, where you can use your skills to:

The World Engineering Day (WED) for Sustainable Development is celebrated on 4th March, but the Hackathon runs in the lead-up — giving participants the chance to collaborate, problem-solve, and innovate together on a global stage.
