World Environment Day at Monash Health - Tackling plastics in healthcare
Event description
The Climate and Health Alliance is proud to celebrate World Environment Day at Monash Health on 5 June. This year’s theme focuses on tackling plastic pollution—a critical issue that amplifies the devastating effects of the triple planetary crisis: climate change, biodiversity and ecosystem loss, and pollution and waste.
While plastic pollution is a major global concern, it is also one of the most solvable environmental challenges, with clear and actionable solutions available.
This session will delve into the plastics crisis within healthcare, fostering discussions on innovative strategies to reduce waste and pave the way for an equitable, sustainable transition.
Open to Monash Health staff, CAHA members, and GGHH members, this event invites all those committed to addressing the plastics crisis together.
