    Join us to find out what happens to your recyclables after you bring them to the Randwick Recycling Centre. Learn why it's important to recycle right.

    Spend an hour getting to know your local recycling facility and finding out the answers to any recycling questions you may have. Not sure if polystyrene can be recycled? What should you do with that old computer keyboard? Which soft plastics can be recycled? Can hard plastics be recycled? This guided tour will answer your questions about what happens to your recycling. You’ll be amazed at how many items you can divert from landfill!

    • Participants to confirm their name, email/ contact number to tour supervisor.
    • Attendance is limited to participants living in Randwick Council. Children need to be supervised
    • Participants to wear closed shoes and long sleeve shirts.
    • Participants to bring their own water bottle, hat and sunscreen to the tour.
    • The tour may be cancelled in case of adverse weather conditions.
    • Tour participants to make their own way to 72 Perry Street Matraville and assemble outside the centre at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour to check in.
    • Participants to sign the attendance sheet before the tour starts.
    • Tour participants not to touch or pick up anything and to stick to the marked path during the tour.
    • The estimated time of the tour is 50 minutes.
    • We will not be able to accept drop off items on the day.
    • Kindly do not attend if you are unwell or show signs of Covid-19.
    • Tour participants will be requested to complete a feedback form after completion of the tour.
    • No vehicles will be allowed in the recycle centre on the tour day.
    • There will be a free BBQ and a coffee cart (please bring your reusable cup).
