Event description

Join the Brimbank community to celebrate all things nature this World Environment Day! Meet us down at the wonderful "Stepping Stones", along the Kororoit Creek Trail, for a morning of planting and fun activities. We will work together with Friends of Kororoit Creek to plant a range of native groundcover plants, wildflowers and shrubs; building up the natural habitat for local birds, reptiles and insects.

You'll also have the opportunity to learn about some of the native animals that call the creek home, as well as learn more about what you can do in your home to help nature and biodiversity flourish. There will also be some activities for the kids including a fun clay activity creating a flock of Cockatoo tiles to be installed along the creek!

This event is co-hosted by Brimbank City Council and Friends of Kororoit Creek.

If you have any access or support questions or requirements in order to participate fully,  please let us know at least two weeks prior to the event and we will be pleased to assist you.

Brimbank City Council respectfully acknowledges and recognises the Wurundjeri and Bunurong peoples as the Traditional Custodians of this land and pays respect to their Elders past, present and future.

Brimbank City Council uses photography and video within their events for promotions. Select ‘Yes’ when registering if you give permission for any photos/video of registered adults and children to be taken during this event.
