Event description

Join us on Saturday, May 10, 2025, for a guided wetland walk to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day. In collaboration with Friends of Mason Park Wetland (FOMPW), experienced FOMPW guides will highlight the rich diversity of waterbirds and inter-continental migratory shorebirds found at the wetlands and how the wetland habitat supports them and much more.

You will also have the opportunity to participate and learn the skills to conduct a bird survey at the wetlands if you join the guides for the early morning session.

Registration is essential as spots are limited.

Date: Saturday, May 10, 2025

Where: Mason Park Wetlands

Time: 7am - 8am (Bird Survey)

          8am - 9am (Guided Walk)

Meeting point: At the far end of Mason Park Wetland carpark, which runs off Underwood Road. Participants will be given a flyer to place on their vehicle dashboards to avoid parking fines.

Stay sun safe and bring water. Bring binoculars if you have any. Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled, but a brief shower or light drizzle won’t stop us. Hope to see you there!
