WORLD Perfume Masterclass with Benny Castles

To kick off our first 'Fireside with Friends' event we invite you to join WORLD Designer and Director Benny Castles for an intimate and exclusive journey around the fragrance wheel, discovering the history and intricacies of the WORLD collection of niche luxury perfumes. The WORLD Perfume Masterclass will focus on fragrance etiquette and scent profiles, but most importantly brand and fragrance history - many of the brands date back to the 1700's. The Masterclass touches on historical figures like Napoleon, Marie Antoinette - discover Grace Kelly's Wedding Scent and learn what JFK smelt like between the sheets, whilst enjoying, discussing, sampling and learning about the finest scents available  including some of New Zealand's finest fragrance makers.

The Masterclass is being designed especially for The Sherwood a 1-hour presentation of scents and ideas touching on the history, culture and cult of fragrance that has become such a globalised and dominant industry. The event promises to be educational and informative as well as fun and thought-provoking, you are also welcome to try and if you love, buy the scents.

WORLD, now in its 3rd decade as one of NZ’s most iconic and Avant-garde fashion houses and retail experiences. Benny Castles has been involved with WORLD for over 20 years and is a partner, Designer and Director alongside founders Francis Hooper MNZM and Dame Denise L'Estrange-Corbet.

5:30pm drinks fireside, masterclass kicks off @ 6pm.
