Worlds of Possibility: Transforming Education with Immersive Technologies
Event description
Presented by the Queensland XR Hub in partnership with Queensland University of Technology’s Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice
“The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” - Dr Seuss
Immersive technologies have ushered in a new era of educational possibility, challenging the boundaries of traditional learning. Imagine a classroom where students can take a virtual field trip through the rugged terrain of Mars—or where students don’t merely intellectualise formulas, but step inside them, manipulating equations in three-dimensional space.
The potential is limited only by the imagination itself, promising a future where learning is an interactive, accessible and immersive journey into the heart of knowledge.
We invite you to spend a half day understanding how immersive technologies can be used to break through to students and enhance teaching.
This event brings together forward-thinking educators and policymakers, innovative content creators, and leading hardware developers to examine and collaborate on the future of immersive technologies in education.
The program will explore current innovations and their potential applications within classrooms, curriculum alignment and good pedagogy, and frameworks for safe, scalable and sustainable adoption.
The event will also feature a dynamic showcase of cutting-edge technology and immersive experiences, allowing you to try out these innovations for yourself.
