Dubbo Filmmakers invites you to the Worldwide Smartphone Film Fest, a celebration of creative storytelling shot entirely on smartphones and tablets. This one-day event brings together filmmakers and film-lovers for a full program of workshops, screenings, and inspiration.
Whether you’re an emerging creator or simply curious, come and experience the creative power of accessible filmmaking — right here in regional NSW.

🎓 Workshop: Crafting Documentary Shorts
Led by regional filmmaker Kellie Jennar, this interactive session explores how to develop compelling short-form documentaries on a tight budget and timeline.
2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
🌍 Short Film Showcase
A dynamic selection of smartphone-shot short films from Dubbo, across Australia, and around the world — all under 12 minutes.
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
🎞 Feature Screening: Paralysis
Watch the award-winning indie thriller Paralysis, followed by an exclusive pre-recorded interview with writer/director Levi Austin Morris.
About the film: Haley Stone suffers from hallucinations, nightmares, and terrifying episodes of sleep paralysis. Believing the entity that haunts her is real, Haley works with a paranormal investigator to uncover the truth and escape her living nightmare.
