Woven Grove Autumn Learning Series

Cultivating organizational culture, leadership, and shared flourishing through changing times

Updated dates and format

The conditions in which we work, lead, and pursue equity are changing rapidly. This autumn, Woven Grove invites equity-centered and purpose-driven leaders and practitioners into a series of learning and practice spaces to make meaning of this moment, strengthen our capacity to respond, and cultivate what comes next.

Across two workshops and a Learning Harvest, we'll move from the organizational to the personal and back into practice: exploring what this changing landscape is asking of our organizations, strengthening our capacity to lead through complexity, and learning alongside others navigating similar questions across sectors.

🌿 October 21st — What Comes Next for Equity and Belonging?
🌱 October 28th — Rooted Through the Storm
🍂 November 4th — Online Learning Harvest

Attend either workshop separately or join us for the whole series. All workshops registrations include free attendance for the Learning Harvest (discount automatically applied) to reflect, share what they're trying, and continue practicing in community.

Community Access, Bring a Colleague discount codes available (see below).

What Comes Next for Equity and Belonging?

Making Sense and Cultivating Possibility in a Season of Change

🌿 October 21, 5:30-7:30pm

Zoom

Many organizations have spent recent years adapting to rapid political, economic, and cultural change. Departments and budgets reorganized. Roles evolved. Language shifted. Equity commitments were challenged, renamed, or reimagined. And yet the need for cultures of belonging and flourishing remains ever pressing.

The season has changed. So, how are we changing with it?

Drawing from community psychology and living systems, we'll explore organizational cultures as alive and evolving, shaped by the people within them and the communities and conditions around them. Designed for purpose-driven and equity-centered practitioners navigating this changing landscape, this interactive session invites us to make sense of how our culture and equity work is evolving, how others are adapting, and what to carry forward.

Through hands-on exercises, cross-sector peer consulting, and practical frameworks, we'll explore the conditions shaping our work, where we still have agency to respond, and what this moment is asking us to cultivate next.

Come if you're navigating questions like:

  • What do we hold onto when the language, structures, or expectations around equity change?

  • How are other organizations adapting?

  • Which constraints are real and where do we still have room to act?

  • What might equity and belonging ask of us next?

You'll leave with greater clarity about the conditions shaping your work, perspectives and practices from peers across sectors, and new possibilities for what to carry forward, adapt, or cultivate next.

For: Organizational leaders, equity and belonging practitioners, HR and OD professionals, facilitators, consultants, community engagement professionals, and other purpose-driven practitioners. You don't need “equity” in your title to belong in this room.

Rooted Through the Storm

Leading Without Losing Yourself in Complexity and Change

October 28th, 5:30-7:30pm

Zoom

If it feels like every week in your purpose-driven or equity-centered work brings another urgent decision, rapid shift, policy change or difficult conversation, you’re not alone.

Today's leaders are expected to move at lightspeed while supporting exhausted teams, navigating uncertainty, responding to shifting expectations, and making thoughtful decisions with incomplete information. It's easy to find yourself reacting to the next crisis instead of leading from the very things that make thoughtful leadership possible: our values, relationships, and our imaginations.

How we lead through changing conditions becomes part of the culture we’re creating. Our responses to pressure shape not only our own capacity to lead, but how others experience trust, belonging, possibility, and change around us.

Drawing from both leadership science and the wisdom of living systems, this workshop invites us to practice being R.O.O.T.E.D.: a practical approach for today’s leaders to stay grounded, connected, and values-aligned when conditions become chaotic and tense.

Together, we'll practice how to:

  • Ground before reacting when urgency and competing demands take over

  • Notice what's happening within ourselves, our relationships, and the conditions around us

  • Stay connected to values and relationships when the right next step isn't obvious

  • Create room for imagination, adaptability, and intentional action amid uncertainty

You'll leave with:

  • The R.O.O.T.E.D. Framework and practical strategies you can return to during moments of pressure

  • Connections with other leaders and practitioners wrestling with many of the same questions.

  • Practices for grounding, reflection, connection, values-aligned decision-making, and adaptive action.

  • Greater clarity about how you want to approach a real leadership challenge you're navigating now

For: People managers and organizational leaders, equity-centered practitioners, facilitators, consultants, community and nonprofit leaders, values-driven business owners and anyone whose work asks them to make thoughtful choices and help others navigate change. No particular title or level of authority required.

Autumn Learning Harvest

An Online Community of Practice

🍂 November 4th, 5:30-7:30pm PT

Zoom | Open to All | Included with either workshop registration

The learning doesn't end when we leave the room.

Participants from both workshops, their guests and others who were not able to attend previously are invited back for a facilitated Learning Harvest: an online community of practice for reflecting on what we've tried, what we're noticing, and what we're learning as we put our ideas into practice.

Rather than introducing more content, we'll learn from one another and our collective learning ecosystem by sharing experiments, questions, adaptations, challenges, and emerging possibilities across organizations and sectors.

Come back with what happened. Leave with new perspectives on what to tend next.
