***Attendee update: Registration will close Friday 30September. However, those registering after Tuesday 20September will not be guaranteed a t-shirt due to ordering time needed. We will aim to order extra with anticipated sizes but cannot guarantee. All will receive lunch and SWE swag***

Join the Central Indiana Society of Women Engineers as we host our flagship event "WOW! That's Engineering" in partnership with Concord Neighborhood Center. 

"WOW! That's Engineering" is a free day long event for 5th-8th grade students who identify as female. Through hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and speakers the girls will be able to experience the creativity and innovation that occurs in the engineering and technology fields. The event is run by certified volunteers, many of whom work as engineers and technologists in local industry.

  • Celebration of lessons learned
  • 2:30pm Farewell 

PARENTS/GUARDIANS/EDUCATORS

Not all the fun is for the kids! Parents, guardians and educators are welcome to spend the day receiving seminars and orientation about the opportunities and responsibilities for their kids. They also have the opportunity to do some experiments of their own to see first hand what their kids do during WOW! Note: T-shirts will be only for students, but all will leave with SWE swag. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!

We are also looking for more volunteers who are passionate about inspiring the next generation of female engineers and scientists. Note: Completion of SWE Youth Protection Training is required, details in registration. 

Further details will arrive for students and parent/guardians/educators the week before the event.
