Writers Festival of Belgium - Cry Me A River edition in Namur

Celebrating the written Word the Writers Festival is inspired by the need for ideas to be explored and developed.

By the overall importance and weight, we place on the written word, sometimes we forget how important it is.

Artistic Director Alia Papageorgiou hopes to bring together the writers’ communities in Belgium while at the same time being fully aware of Belgium’s very rich, colorful, and multilingual literary past, steeped in history and close to the very roots of publishing in the 15th century.

We are so thrilled to be going to Namur this year in 2025 and wish the city all our best in its bid to be a European capital of culture in 2030!
