Event description

Festival of Jewish Arts and Music (FOJAM) presents

Unorthodox - Stories of Escape

What does it take to leave?

In a special one-off live panel event, Deborah Feldman (Unorthodox), Abby Stein (Becoming Eve) and Dassi Erlich will be in conversation with author and podcaster John Safran.

Don't miss this deep dive into the ties that bind us to our families, our community, and ourselves.

Like Esty, the main character in Netflix's binge-worthy hit series UNORTHODOX, you will hear first hand from Deborah and other writers who have left the Satmar and Adass Orthodox Jewish communities about their experiences.

From New York, to Berlin to Melbourne - these incredible women are sharing their stories with the world. And the world is fascinated.
