Event description

Writing Fridays is a free, volunteer-led program for Queensland writers at all levels.

Where: Fire Station 101, 101 Limestone St, Ipswich QLD 4305
When: every Friday (excluding public holidays)
Time: 12 noon to 3pm
FREE - please register by clicking Get Ticket.

Join a friendly bunch of fellow wordsmiths and take advantage of this supportive environment to work on your favourite writing project.

Queensland Writers Centre's popular Writing Fridays, is ideal for writers at all levels.

Sessions follow the Pomodoro Technique which involves a series of 25-minute writing sessions interspersed with 5-minute breaks. After every third "Pomodoro" we take a longer, 15-minute break to relax and recharge.

The 25-minute writing stints make it easy to focus and to get words on the page, while the breaks give you time to connect with other writers in your community. The overall result is improved productivity and the chance to form a connection with the local writing community.

For more info come along to one of our fortnightly sessions, and/or subscribe to the Writing Friday Bulletin for the latest news and announcements, or contact Qld Writers Centre for more information on writingfriday@qldwriters.org.au
