Writing Room #1 'An Experiment in Writing Alongside Others.'

Writing Room #1 ‘An Experiment in Writing Alongside Others’ will be the first of a series of ‘Writing Rooms’ facilitated by @a.room.to.write and hosted in the Oddaný Gallery exhibiting room and garden. 

Tuesday 19 August 7-11pm

This not a reading event, nor is it a performance.

This is a space to work, to produce.

To test our capabilities of focus; and to remove, for a moment, the need for writerly solitude. 

We will attempt to embrace the practise of writing as a social one, one that thrives off the subtle presence of others. 

This is an interactive event which asks its participants to come with pen, paper, journal, notebook, and most of all an openness, a readiness to make.

This is an open studio session lead by practising writer Mia Lewin.

Each writing room will be different.

A series of experimentations in mode, style and approach.

We will start at #1 and go from there. 

This is a launch event. 

This is a free event.

This is a curated writing experience. 

All levels and styles of practise are welcome.
