Collab/Oration In Conversation: Influencing Systems Through Creative Practice
Event description
Join us for an interactive event on the power of creative practice and lived experience to shape inclusive health systems!
RMIT's Health Transformation Lab is delighted to invite you to a unique event exploring the power of story-telling and creative practice in shaping and re-imagining futures in health.
The event is inspired by the work of a collective of Australian writers with disability, led by award-winning writer Andy Jackson as part of his Writing the Future of Health Fellowship with the Health Transformation Lab. This Collab/Oration produced the upcoming anthology "Raging Grace", and invites us to explore ideas of shared vulnerability, the wisdom of lived experience, and the need for a genuinely inclusive health system and society.
The event will include:
- Showcase of work from "Raging Grace", with readings by Andy Jackson, Sarah Stivens and Beau Windon.
- Panel discussion with practitioners from the creative and academic fields.
- A collaborative writing / creative activity.
While in-person attendance is preferred, an online link will be made available for those unable to attend in person.
When: Thursday 12th December, 10:30am - 1.00pm
Where: RMIT University's Social Innovation Hub,155 Pelham Street, Carlton
Light refreshments will be provided - places are limited so please book quickly to secure a spot!
