Hone your writing skills with a Writer's Talk by author Branka Čubrilo on Thursday 22 May at 6PM! During this talk, Ms. Čubrilo will speak on her books and writing career, followed with a Q&A session.
The following Thursday May 29 at 6PM Ms. Čubrilo will lead us in a writer's workshop at 6PM, where participants can apply what they've learned to their own stories.
While guests are encouraged to attend both evenings, you're welcome to book for one evening or the other as well!
About the Author
Branka Čubrilo is the author of eight novels and two collections of short stories. Branka's articles, essays and short stories have been published in online and print magazines in various countries and languages. She has worked as a radio producer and presenter at SBS Australia, as well as an interpreter and translator for several languages.
Branka was born in ex-Yugoslavia (now Croatia) and migrated to Sydney in 1992, soon settling in Mosman. She is a long time local where she happily writes her novels, takes in all the sights and inspiration in the area. Branka has published her novels in her native Croatia, in Serbia, the UK and America, and her books are available worldwide. For her work Branka has received awards and acknowledgement, she was the recipient of a scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to aid her in writing her trilogy of Spanish Stories, set in Southern Spain. Branka continues to write daily, while ensuring she spends enough time with her daughter and fussy cat Mia. She is currently immersed in a new novel revolving around protagonists set in Mosman.
