Join award-winning author Shelley Davidow over three weekends for 3x3-hour workshops with a focus on narrative craft where participants will write a complete narrative piece. Learning specific skills through targeted exercises and advice, writers will be invited to create a chapter, section of a book or short story over the course of the 3 weeks.

This workshop is held over three weekends. You'll meet fortnightly on a Saturday from 9am till 1pm:

About the presenter
Shelley Davidow is an award-winning international author who grew up in South Africa. Writing across genres, her 51 books reflect her experiences living and working on five continents. Recent publications include The Girl with the Violin (HarperCollins, 2024) shortlisted for the 2025 Szimon Klitenik Fiction Award in Australia. Her memoirs Runaways (Ultimo, 2022), Shadow Sisters (University of Queensland Press, 2018), and Whisperings in the Blood (University of Queensland Press, 2016) have received critical acclaim.
Her day job is as a senior lecturer in Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. She’s also a facilitator in Restorative Practice and consults with school communities around the country. In the time that’s left over, she runs creative writing workshops.
