Event description

Learn about traditional weaving with Elder/Aunty Pam from Konanggo Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Services. This will follow a discussion about the mullet and a tool demonstration.

Each visitor will have the enriching experience of learning traditional weaving from an Elder/Aunty Pam. You will also take home a gift bag containing a pair of earrings you’ve learned to make that day.

When: Sunday April 6, 2-5pm

Where: Marrickville Golf Club, Wharf Street Marrickville (on the stage down the hill from the clubhouse)

Konanggo Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Services (KACHS) Is dedicated to protecting, preserving, and conserving the land, fresh and saltwater. Our team of Aboriginal Cultural Consultants and Educators provides invaluable knowledge and experience about the landscape and environment.

Getting There:

Marrickville Golf Club is located near Steel Park in Marrickville. Parking is available but limited on weekends. We recommend taking public transport, walking or cycling. 

Public Transport

The 423 bus line drops off at Steel Park, a 5 minute walk from the clubhouse. 

The 412 bus line from Campsie drops off at Wardell Rd. From there, it is a 12 minute walk along the river to the clubhouse

The club is located on the Cooks River shared path, right on the Cooks River. Limited bicycle parking is available.
