Join us in Sydney, Australia, for FOMLIG2027, the 5th International Workshop on the Future of Machine Learning in Geotechnics, bringing together leading researchers, industry practitioners, academics and emerging professionals from around the world.

Hosted and organised by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and in partnership with Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS) and The University of Newcastle, FOMLIG2027 will provide an international forum to explore the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence, machine learning and data-driven technologies in geotechnical engineering.

Across four days, the workshop will feature international keynote and invited speakers, technical presentations, industry engagement, interactive discussions, short courses and networking opportunities. The program will showcase emerging research, practical applications and new ideas shaping the future of geotechnical engineering.

FOMLIG2027 aims to strengthen connections between research and practice, encourage international collaboration, and create opportunities to discuss both the potential and the challenges of adopting AI and machine learning across geotechnical engineering.
