Grant O'Brien
Having grown up in Penguin on Tasmania's northwest coast, Grant began employment with Woolworths in the mid-80s, before working his way up to become one of Australia's most senior executives in 2011, as CEO and Managing Director at Woolworths Limited. He held the position until 2016, employing more people than the working population of Tasmania! Grant was later appointed as Chair of the Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority, Chair of Tourism Tasmania and as a member of the Tasmanian AFL Taskforce, all of which provide him an opportunity to give back to his home state of Tasmania. Grant will share his incredible journey from Penguin, to the top of Australia's corporate ladder... then home again.
