Wyndham City's Pop Up Recycling & Donation Day @ Truganina

Have you got unwanted items cluttering your home, like old televisions, clothing, good quality furniture or bulky cardboard? 

Wyndham City's popular Pop Up Donation and Recycling Day is here to make decluttering effortless for you!

We are partnering with three donation organisations to accept good quality items for donation -Western Emergency Relief Network (WERN), SCR Group & Reclink

Most items for donation will be distributed locally in Melbourne to help communities that need it most.  All other items for recycling will be responsibly stripped for materials and recycled. Forget the heavy lifting—stay in your car, and we'll take care of the rest. 🚗

Accepted items for donation: Must be in good clean, working condition.

• Clothing, shoes, textiles and accessories

• Essential kitchen items (toasters, kettles, microwaves, rice cookers, cutlery, crockery)

• Blankets & linen (Sheet Sets, Covers)

• Other essential indoor household furniture (eg. bed bases/mattresses, tables, chair sets of 4+, bedside tables, rugs) see guidelines here

• Essential household electronics (eg. Vacuum cleaners, TV's with remotes, heaters and fans) see guidelines here

• Bicycles

• All sporting equipment (racquets, goals, bats, balls, footy boots + more)
  

Accepted items for recycling:

• Broken electronics

• Scrap metal - BBQs / old pots and pans/ broken bicycles

• Bulky cardboard

• End-of-life clothing and textiles
  

If your item is not listed above, It may not be accepted on the day. Use our online waste guide for more disposal options or email wastewise@wyndham.vic.gov.au to find out other options. 


Items NOT accepted:

• Toys or baby and children's items like highchairs, car seats, cots etc

• Books, magazines

• Luggage, bags and backpacks

• Non essential household items - Household decorations (vases, artwork, pictures, figurines, statues)

• Used pillows and doonas

• Chemicals

• Broken white goods or large/heavy electronics (Take to the Refuse Disposal Facility for FREE or use a Hard Waste Collection)

• Dirty mattresses (Use a FREE Hard Waste Collection)

• Broken furniture (Use a FREE Hard Waste Collection)

• Building and construction waste

• Solar panels

Please remember that all items accepted for recycling will be responsibly scrapped and processed. If items are in good condition and are not accepted in our donation drive, consider sharing the love by donating them to friends or another local charity.

Important information
Commercial quantities are not accepted.
This event is exclusively for Wyndham City residents.
