Wyndham Open Garden Day 2025
Event description
October is Garden Month for the Green Living Series! To celebrate, six local green-thumbs will be opening their gardens for you to explore on Saturday 11th of October.
Whether you want to create a native garden, grow veggies, keep chickens, or improve your composting skills, the Open Garden Day has something for everyone. Split into a morning and afternoon session, the Open Day has been designed so you can attend as many gardens as you like. Register for one ticket and head to each garden as you please.
9.30 am - 12.00pm:
Susie's grassland garden has been designed to recreate the grasslands of the Western Volcanic Plains.
(Location: Point Cook)Craig's waterfall garden centres around a remarkable constructed waterfall which attracts a huge array native bird species.
(Location: Hoppers Crossing)Sunita's food forest will show you how you can produce an abundance of food in a small garden area.

1.00 pm - 3.30pm:
Craig Castree's garden demonstrates the importance of cultivating healthy soil.
(Location: Werribee)Scott's permaculture garden features some very happy chooks, and is a great inspiration for home fruit growers.
(Location: Werribee)Phil's upcycled garden - DIY at its best! Learn ways to create spaces for family, food and fauna in one garden.

*Note that exact garden locations will be emailed to registered participants a few days before the Open Garden Day so you can plan your garden visits.
