Xmas Wreath Making Class

Join us at The Simple Market to learn a craft you'll know forever and have a wholesome afternoon of handmade fun! 

As the end of year fast approaches, we are increasingly bombarded with thoughts around how to celebrate Christmas. Deep down, we know we’d like to be doing things differently, but are unsure how to slow down and make that switch to more sustainable gift-giving practices.

So this year, we thought we’d set the tone by creating a workshop which focuses on bringing back a handmade craft that also honours the seasonal calender. This Christmas Wreath Making Class, run by a local craftsperson, will teach you basic skills in how to weave a wreath using locally and sustainably foraged materials. Wreaths make a beautiful centerpiece for Christmas lunches and dinners, and what more beautiful way to acknowledge the seasonality of an Australian summer Christmas than by featuring native plants in your Christmas decorations and display.

• Secateurs
• Cotton garden gloves
• Hot glue gun and spare glue stick
• 3-6 mini Christmas baubles and 1m of your favourite ribbon
