This workshop is for students graduating in 2023.
Hit the ground running when year 12 starts by understanding the skills and mindset you’ll need to perform well.
What’s in this workshop?
Successful students know exactly what ideas are in the syllabus before they even learn it. We’ll overview the senior Physics syllabus to organise big conceptual ideas you should expect to encounter and see how your year 11 understanding fits into the year 12 course.
We’ll then revise key concepts from Module 1: Kinematics and Module 2: Dynamics in order to develop a cohesive framework that prepares you for Module 5: Advanced Mechanics.
Finally, we’ll discuss how to develop a critical, secret skill that our top performing students employ – it takes their understanding to the next level and helps them score full marks in the hardest questions in the HSC.
Who’s teaching this?
Wayne Wong is our Physics coordinator. He’s skilled with his International Science Olympiad medal and university level engineering & physics understanding. But critically, his four years of teaching experience; both with nationally high-achieving students at the Australian Earth Science Olympiad Summer School, but also a wide reach of students from selective and comprehensive high schools – means he’ll find a way to connect with you to help extract your maximum potential.
