Youth Participation & YAG training for FDV services
Description
Join YACWA for free training for selected services funded by the Office for the Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence that work directly with children and young people impacted by family and domestic violence.
YACWA currently facilitates the Lived Experience FDV Youth Reference Group (YRG) for the Department of Communities. We also deliver a range of training for the youth and community sector on best practice youth engagement.
In this workshop we are combining the best of our Establishing and Running a Successful Youth Advisory Group training and our Youth Participation in Planning and Decision Making training to support services working with young people to bring their ideas and experience into youth-focused service planning and delivery.
This session will include activities, group discussions, as well as resources and templates to take away.
Catering will be provided.
There is plenty of onsite parking. Please aim to arrive 5 to 10 minutes head of the start time to secure parking. If planning to travel by public transport, bus routes 30, 72, 73, 100 and 101 stop on Lawson Street near Beveridge Street, approximately a 3-minute walk from the centre.
