YAGS Nomination Launch at The Y Springfield Central Community Centre

The Youth Advisory Group Springfield (YAGS) is a new youth advisory group bringing together up to 20 young people aged 16-25 from across the Greater Springfield region.

Facilitated by the Y Queensland and based at the Y Springfield Central Community Centre, YAGS will provide young people with a meaningful platform to:

• Have their voices heard and help shape decisions that impact their community

• Contribute ideas and perspectives to local projects and initiatives

• Develop leadership, communication and professional skills

• Build connections with other young people, community organisations and local leaders

• Gain valuable real-world experience

• Play an active role in shaping the future of Greater Springfield

Through youth-led projects, events and community initiatives, YAGS members will work alongside local organisations and community stakeholders to identify and respond to the needs, interests and aspirations of young people in the region.

Join Us for the YAGS Nominations Launch

We are excited to officially launch YAGS nominations this November and invite you to join us as we celebrate this important milestone for youth participation in Greater Springfield.

This launch event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the program, the nomination process and the role YAGS will play in strengthening youth voice across our community. It will also be a chance to connect with local organisations, schools, services and young people who share a commitment to creating positive outcomes for the next generation.

We would be delighted to welcome representatives from your organisation and encourage you to help share this exciting opportunity with young people and networks across the region.
